A significant portion of this book includes sidebars on what appears to be the author’s opinion on modern French culture. There were definitely some ideals in this book that I would like to implement into my own life, such as the French girl’s love of REAL food, the time she devotes to herself, and how self contained she is.
But then again, this book almost makes it seem as if t To me this was a great light, fun and even inspiring read. I like that each section gives you suggestions on books, movies, and has great little French quotes.
Also, there’s really nothing in Ollivier’s Entre Nous that’s you wouldn’t have already found out in Sixty Million Frenchmen. French women view food as both sustenance and celebration. Turn off the computer. Perhaps if the author had not be obsessed with the notion that the French should live as Americans do, she may have been able to write about her French experience rather than spend chapter after chapter whining to the point of nausea.

The author seems rather mystified as to why the Ollovier do not want to be American and wastes most of the book not guiding the reader to find her inner French girl, but waning on and on about how France isn’t America. French girls take care of their skin. This was an easy, fast read, and was fun to read about French history, debar, and other French things, which I love.
Why do French women always look inimitably stylish? This is not a book to be read for sentimental reasons, but for the good bits on fashion and eating. Yes, she does have an exasperating tendency to be thin.
Ollivirr book talks about who the French girl is on the inside, as much as on the outside and debr truly is a fun and thought-provoking read. She was perfectly content and undeniably sensual, and when she spoke, which she did sparingly, you could tell she had a superbly intelligent mind.
